Viatris gets PepsiCo’s Vikas Joshi as Head-Global People Solutions

Viatris is delighted to announce the appointment of Vikas Joshi as Head of Global People Solutions. As PepsiCo’s VP of HR, People & Culture.  Joshi will lead the company’s global human resources functions and will also oversee employee relations, talent acquisition and retention, compensation, benefit programs, and programs that support diversity and inclusion. He will report to Viatris president, Amit Kumar Gupta. Vikas has over 25 years of experience in talent management and leadership development, having held senior roles in large organizations such as PepsiCo and Oracle Corporation.
Mr. Joshi joins Viatris from PepsiCo where he has held various roles including SVP & Chief Learning Officer, Global HR Officer, and Head of Diversity. He holds a Master in Psychology and a Bachelor in Medical Education from the University of Mumbai. He joins the US-based company with over 20 years of experience in senior management roles in HR, Training and Development, Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, and Compensation Strategy.
The company said in a statement that he will lead Viatris’ strategy and growth across all businesses, including HR, talent, and outsourcing. Viatris has got PepsiCo’s Vikas Joshi as its new Head-Global People Solutions. Who will be responsible for managing hiring and engagement activities across the company. He joins from Wipro, where he led recruitment and leadership development programs in various functions including sales and marketing.
He will be responsible for integrating and building effective HR operations across the India region, as well as overseeing all global hiring needs. Founded in 1998, Viatris remains one of the largest staffing agencies in India with hundreds of thousands of employees. With over 60 offices across India, the company has been praised by customers for its unique approach to sourcing. And its delivering high-quality candidates and providing seamless onboarding services to clients.

He will be based in Dublin with responsible for building out the company’s human capital strategy globally. Before joining PepsiCo, Vikas was Director of People for Google where he led business development execution and strategy for their global people function.Mr. Joshi will report to Lenny Kravitz, EVP, of Global People Operations, and be based in Viatris’ headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif. His new role will include leading all aspects of human capital strategy and delivery for the Company’s global business lines including Refreshments, International Foods & Beverages, and Consumer Packaging
Viatris INFOSYS, India’s leading provider of HR solutions, proudly announces the appointment of Vikas Joshi as Head-Global People Solutions. This role will be based out of Viatris’ San Francisco office where he will work directly with PepsiCo Global CIO Taddeo Gili and Senior VP. And Head India & South Asia Business Rajit Gupta to lead the company’s people strategy in light of Lenovo Group buying IBM’s enterprise software business and its plans to migrate to a cloud-based offering.
