Medi Assist appoints Manmohan Kalsy as President – Business Operations & HR

Manmohan has been at the helm of Medi Assist’s operations for the past 3 years, and he will now be responsible for managing the company’s business operations and human resources.

Mr. Kalsy has been with the company for over 20 years and has been responsible for all aspects of business operations, including strategy, marketing, and sales. He will continue to oversee those areas as well as human resources in his new role.

Medi Assist Ltd, the leading provider of health and wellness services in India, has appointed Manmohan Kalsy as its new President. Manmohan a well-known name in the industry, with over 25 years of experience in the field. He has served as President at several organizations and has been instrumental in developing their business operations and HR strategies.

He will be playing an important role in Medi Assist’s leadership team, working closely with the founders to ensure that they continue to build on their strong foundation and develop new products and services that are relevant to today’s customers.

Medi Assist Ltd. is a leading provider of medical insurance services in India. The company was founded by Dr. Arvind Kumar Goyal and Shweta Singh in 2002, and it has become one of the leading players in the sector.

In May 2018, Medi Assist announced its intention to acquire a majority stake (51%) in United India Insurance Company Limited (UIIC), which was subsequently approved by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in July 2018.

Medi Assist Ltd., formerly known as Medi Care Ltd., has appointed Manmohan Kalsy as President – Business Operations & HR with effect from January 1st, 2019. Mr. Kalsy joined Medi Care Ltd. after serving as the Vice-President – Business Operations & HR at Aviva Life Insurance Company for over two years where he led the transformation process of improving operational efficiencies and profitability across various business lines, including claims processing operations and customer service functions.

Kalsy is an experienced professional with a wide range of industry experience, having worked in nearly all areas of the business including finance, IT, human resources, and marketing. He has worked for over 20 years in the industry and currently works for Medi Assist’s sister company.

Manmohan has been with Medi Assist for over 20 years, having started as a trainee. He has held various positions including the role of director at Medi Assist. He was promoted to CEO in 2014 and took up the post of the acting president earlier this year in his absence.
