Google CEO does not deny possibility of layoffs

In a statement to CNBC, Google CEO Sundar Pichai said: “We’re not going to comment on rumors or speculation.” This comes after reports that Google would be reducing staff numbers by 7 percent and outsourcing some of their jobs overseas. The Wall Street Journal reported that the company’s workforce could fall from 84,000 to 75,000 people over the next year.

Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai has said that the company is “not planning to reduce headcount.” The statement comes in response to rumors that up to 50,000 employees could be laid off at Google. The rumors were spread by Bloomberg and other media outlets that cited anonymous sources. Pichai denied them in an interview with Recode.

According to TechCrunch, Google has been hiring aggressively and has hired more than 10,000 people so far this year. The company currently employs 69,000 people worldwide.

In a blog post, Page said “I know this is painful for everyone, but we need to make some tough choices here. Our operating system and services business is in decline.” He added that “we’re trying to figure out what we can do about it.” The company posted a net loss of $4.6 billion in the most recent quarter.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has been keen to downplay the possibility of layoffs at the company, but new reports have surfaced that suggest otherwise.

According to Bloomberg News, Google is planning to lay off as many as 10% of its staff to cut costs and cut back on spending. The report states that Google will look to eliminate “low-priority” positions such as sales staff and computer engineers.

Pichai has denied this report, however, saying that “the vast majority of Googlers are happy.” He added: “We have great people here.”

The company had previously announced a restructuring plan focused on product development and engineering talent, but it appears that it may now be looking at other areas as well.

Google chairman Eric Schmidt said that the company is always looking for ways to improve its products and make them more efficient. He said, “We’re constantly looking at the costs we can save, the efficiencies we can gain, the efficiencies we can increase.” The company is also trying to cut down on expenses by reducing its headcount.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television, Eric Schmidt said that Google has been making cuts to bring down costs. He also said that Google will not lay off people who are still working there. However, they might have to cut their number of employees if they want to be more efficient and save money.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has not denied the possibility of layoffs at the company. “I’ve been through a few rounds myself,” he said at Techonomy in New York on Wednesday. “And I think it’s important to remember that we’re a very large organization, and we have people who are trying very hard to make sure that they’re doing things right.”

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has said that the company will not be reducing its staff, despite rumors that it is planning to lay off hundreds of employees.

The New York Times reported earlier this month that Google plans to cut as many as 3,000 employees from its workforce. But Pichai told CNBC in an interview on Tuesday that he is not aware of any such plans.
