Mehta brings over 15 years of experience in the field of human resources, with a focus on developing talent and building strong management teams. She has worked at companies such as Infosys and TCS, where she served as a business leader. Fusion Micro Finance is pleased to announce the hire of Pooja Mehta as the new chief HR officer.
Pooja has been with Fusion for four years, serving as vice president of human resources and in charge of all hiring, employee development, and compensation.
She has extensive experience in HR, having worked at multiple financial services companies in India and Australia, where she also obtained a master’s degree in human resources management.
Founded in 2003, Fusion has grown to be one of the largest microfinance companies in India. It provides loans to women from low-income families who have faced financial exclusion and exclusion from economic growth.
Mehta will be responsible for managing the entire HR function for Fusion, including employee relations and talent management. She is also responsible for leading the development of Fusion’s analytics team, which will use data science to improve the company’s lending processes.
Fusion Micro Finance is pleased to announce the appointment of Pooja Mehta as Chief Human Resources Officer. Mehta brings with her extensive experience in human resources, leadership, and strategic planning. Before joining Fusion, she held numerous positions at companies including SAP, Microsoft, and Accenture.
Mehta has been involved in a wide range of industries, including technology start-ups and Fortune 500 organizations. She has also worked extensively with small businesses to develop their HR strategies and operations.

Fusion Micro Finance, the commercial finance arm of Fusion, has hired Pooja Mehta as its chief HR officer.
Mehta brings with her more than 10 years of experience in human resource management, including a stint at the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad and India’s largest private sector lender, HDFC Bank. She was also earlier an associate partner at Deloitte Consulting before joining Fusion Micro Finance. Mehta holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Delhi and an MBA from IIM-Ahmedabad.
Pooja has over 15 years of experience in human resources, including her most recent role as Senior Director at Quess Corp where she led a team of HR professionals responsible for recruiting and retaining key talent. She brings a strong background in strategic planning and innovation, having worked on several Fortune 500 companies’ HR teams in various roles over the last decade.
In her new role at Fusion Micro Finance, she will be responsible for all aspects of HR strategy and execution, including recruiting and onboarding new hires, talent development, and succession planning, compensation planning and management, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements, employee relations activities (EEO/BWC), performance management initiatives, employee benefits development and optimization efforts across the organization.
