The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that men and women will now get equal match fees for all ICC tournaments.
The board said that the decision was made during its meeting on November 7, 2018. It also added that the existing system of meeting fees for men and women cricketers will continue to be applicable.
“It’s a great day for Indian women’s cricket,” BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur said after the announcement. “The board has always been committed to providing opportunities to all players regardless of gender and this is another step in our journey towards equality.”
Indian captain Mithali Raj added: “It feels amazing to see such a landmark decision being taken by the BCCI.”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that it will charge an equal match fee for men and women cricketers. The BCCI had previously been charging a higher fee for women cricketers, which caused much controversy and criticism.
The Indian cricket board announced that it would be implementing a 50% equal match fee for men and women cricketers. The move comes in the wake of the Supreme Court’s decision to allow five women to play in the men’s national team.
The BCCI also announced that it would be going on strike from April 11th to April 22nd, 2019.
The BCCI is pleased to announce that from now on, men and women will be paid equally for any matches they play in the domestic circuit. This means that men will receive the same amount of money as their female counterparts, regardless of how many games they play or how far they advance in the tournament.
The move comes after months of negotiations between the BCCI and its member associations, who have expressed their support for equal pay for men and women cricketers. The Board has also agreed to make significant changes to its internal policies concerning employee salaries and benefits so that they are more equitable across genders.
Everyone knows cricket is a game for men, but not anymore!
We’re proud to announce that from now on, women can also play this game. The BCCI has decided to allow women cricketers to join the national team under the same conditions as men. This means that all the rules will be the same, including how much they get paid.
The amount of money that players will receive depends on their performance. The more they play and win matches, the more money they will get paid by their country’s government.
The first woman cricketer who joins the national team will receive approximately 2 million rupees (about $25,000). But there are no limits on how much money a player can earn if she plays well enough! She can even become an international star like Sachin Tendulkar or Virat Kohli if she keeps up her good work!
For the first time in the history of Indian cricket, women, and men players are getting equal pay.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will pay their male and female cricketers equally for all cricketing activities, including practice, training, and matches.
In a press release today, the BCCI said this move was necessary to “foster gender equality in the sport.”
