Fourie will be responsible for leading Bridgestone MEA’s global sales, marketing, and business development efforts. He will report to Masaaki Koyama, president of Bridgestone’s Automotive Division.

Fourie joins Bridgestone from the Confederation of African Football, where he served as interim CEO for eight months following the resignation of Ahmad Ahmad. He was previously head of the African Confederation’s marketing department from 2003 to 2004.

Since joining Bridgestone MEA in 2007, Fourie has led many initiatives including the creation of a strategic plan for Bridgestone MEA’s footprint in Africa. He has also overseen several improvements at T&T, including an increase in production capacity and new product lines.

Bridgestone MEA has appointed Jacques Fourie as its new VP and MD. He will be responsible for the company’s sales, marketing, and product development activities in South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe.

Fourie was previously the managing director of Bridgestone’s Durban-based office. Before that, he served as corporate marketing manager at Bridgestone’s Cape Town office.

Bridgestone-Mazda Motor Egypt is a joint venture between Bridgestone Corporation and Mazda Motor Corporation established in 1997. It is one of the leading automotive companies in Egypt. The company has been operating since its establishment through two brands: Bridgestone and Mazda.

Bridgestone MEA’s core business comprises the manufacture and sale of passenger cars and commercial vehicles as well as tires, spare parts, services, and accessories. The company offers a wide range of products under these brands including cars (including SUVs), trucks, vans, buses, and motorcycles.

The Bridgestone MEA is pleased to announce the appointment of Jacques Fourie as its new vice president and managing director. Mr. Fourie will oversee all aspects of the business in South Africa, including sales and marketing, customer service, and distribution.

Mr. Fourie has worked for Bridgestone for more than 25 years, most recently as director of distribution for South Africa. He has held several other positions within the company, including manager of Bridgestone’s Quality Assurance Laboratory in Japan and manager of the Japanese subsidiary’s quality assurance laboratory.

Bridgestone MEA, the South African subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, has appointed Jacques Fourie as its vice president and managing director.

Fourie will report to CEO Charlie Boon, who is also executive vice president of Bridgestone Corporation. He will be responsible for leading the business in all aspects of its operations, including sales and marketing, product development, manufacturing, and distribution.

Fourie joined Bridgestone MEA in March 2018 after spending three years at Michelin SA as head of marketing. In his new role at Bridgestone MEA, he will oversee a team of more than 400 staff members who contribute to the company’s growth strategy by developing and implementing marketing plans that target customers with specific needs.

Fourie joins Bridgestone MEA from Michelin South Africa. He is a seasoned automotive industry executive with over 25 years of experience in various roles at Michelin SA.
