Gupta is an experienced tech executive who has held key roles in the automobile industry over his career, including leading the expansion of Zoomcar’s operations in India, where the company now operates two facilities. He also served as general manager of Car Rental Services at Zoomcar North America.

Zoomcar is pleased to announce the appointment of Naveen Gupta as VP and Country Head of India. Gupta brings more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on sales, marketing, and product development. He has worked for companies including Ford India and Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd., where he helped grow their sales by over 50 percent.

Naveen has been with Zoomcar since its inception in 2013, working as a consultant before being promoted to country head. As a consultant, he was responsible for developing Zoomcar’s operations in India as well as leading the company’s growth strategy in the region. He also developed relationships with local operators who are now serving Zoomcar vehicles on-demand.
As a country head, Naveen will continue to lead overseas expansion efforts while also focusing on building out Zoomcar’s local presence in India and helping it expand its fleet. Naveen has spent the last decade working with companies like Facebook, Google, and Microsoft in various roles including Director of Business Development. He has also been a mentor for startups in India through his work with Tech Mahindra, where he was a partner in their accelerator program.
